Dede Makes All-CCAC at Conference Meet
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - In their first ever CCAC track meet, the Judson University women's track team scored 75 points and had six top five finishes. The team finished fifth out of six teams and produced one All-CCAC player. To receive All-CCAC, you had to finish first in your event.
Taking the lone CCAC award was Sarah Dede. She won the triple jump with a leap of 10.66 meters. She also placed second in the long jump. Overall, she scored 23 points for Judson.
Rachael Dean, Lauren Strohmaier, and Morgan Kimball all were in the top five. Dean was second in the 1,500 meter run (4:48.37) and third in the 5,000 meter run (18:58.29) which qualified her for the NCCAA National Meet. Strohmaier took second in the high jump (1.48 m) and Morgan Kimball was fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (12:57.83) which also was good for the NCCAA National Meet.
Dede led Judson with 23 points and was followed by Dean (14 points), Strohmaier (11 points), Shannon McNab (8 points), Kim Peek (6.5 points), and Kimball (5 points).
