Crystal Lake, IL The (RV) Judson University Women's Soccer Team began its 2022 campaign against #18 SCAD on Saturday as the Eagles fared well against SCAD, falling to the Bees 3-2. Despite a wet Saturday morning, the weather cooperated for this season-opening match overall.
SCAD got the scoring started with a goal 12:35 into the contest. Judson answered with Alex Wawrzyniak scoring on a upper-90 shot from the right side of the box. After SCAD converted on a penalty late in the first half and another quick second-half strike, the Eagles answered with Alondra Blanco's first of the year.
Judson made the most of their shots as they converted on two of their seven. Josett Perez and Wawrzyniak each had two total shots and one being on target. Lucille Klimkowski, Mireyah Macias, and Blanco also each had a shot on goal.
Judson played well defensively as SCAD only had eight shots on goal out of 25 total shots. Morgan Olsen made five saves.
Judson (0-1-0) faces Indiana Wesleyan on September 3 in Crystal Lake.
