Eagles Earn Split With Shutout Win
Elgin, IL - A day later than scheduled, the Eagles hosted IU South Bend for a double header to conclude their three-game series on Thursday afternoon.
Game one featured a top notch pitching performance on both sides with the Eagles coming out ahead for the 2-0 victory.

In the third inning, Grace Allgood broke the 0-0 tie with an RBI single scoring Jenna Yakey. And in the fifth inning Isabelle Schadle ripped a single to score Carmen Richardson.
That was all Herrick needed to shut down the Titans.

Grace Allgood went the distance in game two with four strikeouts. Allgood was dominant, and controlled the tempo well until the late home run with two outs in the top of the 7th inning. She also added two more hits in the game.
