Eagles Honor Star Wrobel To Kick Off Season
Elgin, IL - Before the Eagles opened their home schedule for the 2026 season, Judson Men's Volleyball honored one of the most impactful players in program history with a special pregame ceremony. Elijah Wrobel was recognized by the Judson coaching staff, teammates, and athletic department with a jersey retirement for the Volleyball program, celebrating a remarkable career that spanned from 2021 to 2025.
Wrobel's list of accomplishments is both extensive and historic. During his time at Judson, he helped redefine excellence—not only for men's volleyball, but across Judson Athletics—through his elite performance, leadership, and character on and off the court.
Among his many honors, Wrobel was Judson Men's Volleyball's first-ever NCCAA First Team All-American, the program's first Male Athlete of the Year recipient, and the 2025 NCCAA Game Plan 4 Life Character Award winner. He was also named to the NCCAA National Championship All-Tournament Team, earned CCAC Setter of the Year honors three times, was a four-time CCAC First Team All-Conference selection, and—by his own measure—most importantly, a scholar-athlete in all four years.
In the Judson record books, Wrobel's name sits atop numerous all-time categories, including:
-
Career Sets Played: 424
-
Career Assists: 4,040
-
Career Service Aces: 150
-
Career Attack Percentage: .439
-
Career Assists Per Set: 9.53
His 4,040 career assists place him among just four players in all of NAIA Men's Volleyball history to surpass the 4,000-assist milestone.
Yet during his pregame remarks, Wrobel emphasized that records and awards fade, while character and living out one's faith in Christ are what truly endure. His humility, work ethic, and servant leadership have made him one of the finest representatives Judson has ever had in recent years.
Judson Athletics proudly congratulates Elijah Wrobel on an extraordinary career. He is undeniably one of the greatest to ever wear a Judson uniform, and his legacy will live on.
Here's to #16 forever.
