Judson Continues to Make Strides With ONU Invite
Bourbonnais, Ill. The Judson University Track and Field Teams had a very productive Saturday at Olivet as the Eagles continue to press on in their 2022 spring campaign.
On the men's side, the Eagles had very impressive 1500-meter performances by four runners.
Juan Villagomez led the way with a 18th place finish with a 4:17.56 time which was a season best. Jaret Godinez had a 4:28.21 time to finish 32nd with a season-best performance. Kyle Braund finished right behind Godinez with a 4:28.21 finish, a personal best. Gage Fox had a personal best finish with a 4:26.53 finish to place 29th.
Kiwaun had a season-best in the triple jump with a 1.72m mark to finish tied for seventh. Camren Carter and Keshawn Bates had season-best in the 110m hurdles as Carter had a 14.85 finish to place second, while Bates finished with a 17.92 to place eighth. Dylan Chandler season-best 400-meter run with a 54.51 time to finish 16th. Elijah Phan season-best in the 800-meter race with a 2:04.19 to place 21st. Daniel Dunlap had a season-best in the Pole vault with a 3.50m finish to place third. Ian Wiggan and Jaelyn Williams had personal bests in the 200 as Wiggan finished 13th with a 22.93 time, while Williams finished with a 23.99 time to place 26th. The Men's 4x400 team of Dylan Chandler, Elijah Phan, Carlos Miranda, Chase Ashcraft had a season-best time of 3:33.93 to finish sixth.
On the Women's side, Maria Alarcon and Beth Rodriguez went 1-2 in the race walk as Alarcon finished with a 28:40.77, while Beth Rodriguez had a 30:45.01 to place second. Grace Garcia had a personal record in the 800 with a 22:44.74 finish to place 22nd. Reaganne Graff also had a personal best in the 100 with a 13.59 finish to place 16th, while Amanda Charpentier had two bests in the 100 Hurdles (19.19, 10th) and 400 Hurdles 1:21.43 (11th) to round out her solid performance.
"A lot of good results across the board. It was nice to finally have some nice weather to compete in," said Head Coach Cam Knudsen. "I think what I liked most about the meet was the results kept getting better as the meet went on. The athletes were competing hard into their second and third events and a lot of them had career days because of it."
Judson next performs in the Elmhurst invite on Friday.
