Eagles Win Regular Season Finale
Joliet, IL – The Judson University men's tennis program concluded its regular season conference schedule with a definitive 4-0 road victory over the University of St. Francis.
The Eagles displayed clinical efficiency away from home, securing a clean sweep to build vital momentum heading into the postseason. The match format was adjusted as only singles play was contested.
Judson's lineup wasted no time asserting dominance, clinching the overall team victory before the final two positions began play. At the #1 position, Javier Sanchez led the way by earning a decisive 6-0, 6-1 win over Jedriel Bondoc. Joshua Bavich maintained the pressure at the #2 spot, securing a 6-0, 6-1 result against John Kenny.
Florian Koppitsch delivered an identical 6-0, 6-1 victory at #3 singles by defeating Lucas Fernandez-Pedrera. Niel Hentrich provided the most efficient performance of the afternoon at the #4 flight, recording a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory over Justin Joseph.
Due to St. Francis forfeiting the #6 position and Judson clinching the dual early, the #5 singles match was not played.
With the regular season officially in the books, the Eagles now shift their focus to the Conference Tournament, which is set to commence this Tuesday. Following a nearly flawless performance in their final conference outing, Judson enters the postseason bracket as a high-confidence contender.
