Elgin, IL- The Judson University men's tennis team wrapped up its fall season on a high note with a strong 5–2 win over Roosevelt University on home courts. The Eagles set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles courts to secure the opening point.
In doubles play, Florian Koppitsch and Brayden Kopp battled through a tight match to win 7–6 at the No. 1 spot, while Cesar Otondo Villafan and Nicolas Donoso powered to a victory at No. 2. Niel Hentrich and Javier Sanchez completed the sweep with a composed 6–4 win at No. 3.
Carrying the momentum into singles, Judson claimed four of the six matches. Koppitsch dominated at No. 2 singles with a 6–1, 6–2 win, and Sanchez followed with a commanding 6–0, 6–1 performance at No. 3. Otondo delivered a gritty three-set comeback victory at No. 4, while Julius Fortun sealed the match for the Eagles with a clutch win in a super tiebreak at No. 5.
The win marks a strong finish to the fall campaign for the Eagles, who now look ahead to building on their progress heading into the spring season.
