Eagles Make Top 10 At Kohawk
Cedar Rapids, IA - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Kohawk Invite in Cedar Rapid, Iowa.
On the Men's Varsity side this team was able to come away with a 6th place. On Saturday, this team put it all together and had the best Saturday performance as a team of the season! This team put together team games of 1085, 1056, 1075, 978, and 1031 for a 5225 total and a 209 average as a team!
This team was led by Freshman standout Brayland Carpenter who has been on an absolute tear in his past 2 events. Brayland finished 2nd overall individually and earned his first All-Tournament Team as an Eagle! Brayland had games of 240,269,205,238 and 246 for a 1198 total and an average of 239.6 for the day! Brayland was also 95% on single pins and 79% on multipins and struck an amazing 60% on the weekend and had an overall fill percentage of 90%!
Freshman Standout Carson Reid averaged 200 for his 5 games on Saturday, Carson was also a perfect 100% on single pins going 14/14 and struck 57% of the time on the weekend. Senior Eric Roberts averaged 214 on the day and started with games of 237,222,233 and was 93% on single pins and struck 45% of the time on the weekend. Sophomore Woodly Dangerfield averaged 200 for his 4 games on Saturday and had a high game of 215. Woodley was also 85% on single pins and struck 51% of the time on the weekend.
The bench support this team got was absolutely fantastic this weekend! Starting with Sophomore Standout Noah Moreno who came off the bench in game 4 and shot 244 and 195 respectively to give the team a big lift! Noah was also 100% on single pins going 7/7 and 88% on multipins while striking a seasons best 50% of the time on the weekend. Also making a major impact was Freshman Standout Aidan Lee who came off the bench in game 5 with a massive 245 game! Since coming off his injury Aidan has been on absolute fire as has also won his first Title on the Elite Youth Tour recently as well! Aidan was also 100% on single pins and struck 50% of the time on the weekend.
Freshman Jeremy Gasca was 86% on single pins and struck 42% on the weekend and Sophomore Toby Wamsley was 82% on single pins and struck 46% of the time on the weekend. This team put up some fantastic team stats this weekend going 92% on single pins as a team and 52% strike percentage as well as 85% overall fill percentage on the weekend while averaging 209 as a team on Saturday.
On the Men's JV the came away with a 8th place finish. This team put up a high game of 1003 game 2 which was led by Freshman Standout Matt Fishman who had consistent games of 203,212,210,203, and 198 for a 205 average on the day. Matt was also 80% on single pins and 79% on multipins on the weekend while striking 50% of the time on the weekend.
Sophomore Jeremy Martinez came off thew bench with a massive 236 game 2 and stayed in the rest of the day and added a 203 game to average 194 for the day. Jeremy put up his best spare numbers of the season going 100% on single pins 11/11 and 71% on multipins while striking 43% of the time on the weekend. Freshman Standout De'Vyn Franklin came off the bench game 5 to add a nice 203 game to the team and he was 73% on single pins and struck 34% of the time on the weekend.
Senior Adan Cabezudo had a high game of 206 and averaged 186 on the weekend and was 90% on his single pins and 70% on his multipins. Senior Connor Richmond came off the bench with a nice 190 game and averaged 181 for his 2 games and was also 63% on multipins and struck 41% of the time on the weekend.
Sophomore Aiden Schwichow had a high game of 199 and was 79% on single pins and Senior Park Morris was an awesome 94% on single pins on the weekend!
We also want to take a moment to thank the following graduating Seniors from the Men's team who competed in their last event as Eagles. To Park Morris, Connor Richmond, and Adan Cabezudo we want to thank you for your hard work, commitment, and dedication to our Judson Eagles Bowling Family. The 3 of you have been nothing but class and you will be missed by all.
We want to wish you the absolute best in your futures, and you will always be a part of our family! We know all 3 of you are going to do amazing things in your futures and we pray that God blesses you throughout!
Next up we will compete at the last regular season event of the season at the Tier 1 Hoosier Classic on February 13-15 in Indianapolis, IN.
