Eagles Start Calendar Year With A Top 5 Finish
Addison, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Storm Baker Challenge in Addison, IL.
On the Men's Varsity side this team continues to grow as they finished 5th just 1 spot out of bracket play. Led by freshman Jeremy Gasca who was a fantastic 94% on single pins and struck 42% of the time. Freshman standout Brayland Carpenter was 88% on single pins 74% on Multipins and had an overall fill percentage of 80% on the weekend.
Senior Eric Roberts was super solid with a 87% single pin percentage and a fantastic multipin percentage of 86% and overall fill percentage of 85%. Freshman Standout Carson Reid was solid with an 85% on single pins and struck 48% on the weekend. Sophomore standout Woodley Dangerfield was 78% on single pins and 69% on multipins.
Day 2 this team really stepped out to move up 2 spots in the standings and had a hi set of 830 for 4 games in baker.
On the Men's JV Blue side they were able to come away with a 3rd place finish only 1 spot away from bracket play. This team was led by Sophomore standout Noah Moreno who was 91% on single pins and had an overall fill percentage of 83% on the weekend.
Sophomore Jeremy Martinez was 82% on single pins and 63% on multipins on the weekend. Freshman Standout Matt Fishman was a fantastic 78% on multipins and struck 40% on the weekend.
Sophomore Toby Wamsley struck 46% of the time on the weekend and was 61% on multipins and had an overall fill percentage of 80%. Senior Adan Cabezudo struck 32% of the time and had an overall fill percentage of 72%.
This team was on the verge of making the first cut of the season and had tremendous energy all weekend.
On the Men's JV Gold side they were able to come away with a top 4th place finish. Led by Freshman Standout De'Vyn Franklin who was 81% on single pins and struck 42% of the time on the weekend.
After 5 months of rehab on his hip and wrist, Freshman Aidan Lee made his Judson Eagle debut in Outstanding fashion and made an immediate impact not only with his performance but the overall energy, he brought to the team. Aidan was perfect on single pins on Saturday and finished the event at 80% and 72% on multipins for the weekend.
Senior Connor Richmond was outstanding on single pins going 87% on the weekend and had an overall fill percentage of 75%. Senior Parker Morris was 76% in single pins and struck 33% of the time on the weekend and Sophomore Aiden Schwichow was 80% on multipins and struck 44% of the time on the weekend.
This team was also knocking on the door of bracket play which bodes well for the future of the mens squad.
Next up we will compete at the Tier 1 Kegel-ISBPA Collegiate Classic on January 17-18 in Addison, IL.
