Earned NAIA/NCCAA Scholar-Athlete award and CCAC All-Academic for her grade point average…Collected 10 kills vs. Purdue-North Central (10/6) for a .526 hitting percentage…played in 48 games and averaged 1.04 kills per game and 0.58 digs per game…finished the year with 50 kills and 28 digs…also had six digs vs. Purdue-North Central.

 

Was a utility player moving around to play in every position…started season out as setter and then moved to hitter..had double digit career highs in kills, digs, and assists…finished the season with career-high 14 kills vs. Trinity Christian…set career-high 33 assists vs. Cardinal Stritch with 24 digs vs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps…had 12 kills vs. North Central (IL - 10/25/08)…had 10 or more assists in 12 matches… recorded 10 or more digs in 13 matches…had four double-doubles…finished the season on the team second in assists (287) and third in kills (129) and digs (285)…played in 108 games and had nine serving aces and 26 blocks…in three matches had 20 or more digs.

Graduated from H.D. Jacobs High School in 2007…lettered for coach Lisa Dwyer…given the team sportsmanship award…member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes…earned the President's Academic Award.

Daughter of Stan Helgerson and Lori Schaffter…born on January 21, 1989…will major in youth ministry…likes to eat pizza…lists favorite sports movie as "Remember the Titans"…favorite place to vacation is Hawaii.
