Elgin, Ill. – Finishing the 2008 strong, Judson (24-24) won their final game of the double header against Carthage College (19-11), 11-3, to win their 24th game of the season and break the single-season record for wins in a season. Judson fell in game one, 9-7, in eight innings. The 24 wins breaks the 23 wins from the 2002 season under Rick Eddy.

Judson had two strong offensive games as they combined for 18 runs and 24 hits. Of those 24 hits, three were home runs by Aimee Ewert, Debra Leganski, and Nicole Dimiceli.

Carrie Sensor led the hitting department as she went 6-of-8 in the two games with three runs scored. Both Dimiceli and Leganksi went 4-of-8 with each hitting a home run as Dimiceli smacked a grand slam in game two. Leganski hit her CCAC leading and Judson school record 14th home run of the season.
 
Judson also says good bye to four seniors in Kristi Roeker, Brittany Nicley, Aimee Ewert, and Amy Meier.

Bourbonnais, Ill. – Going extra innings with #2 St. Francis, Judson University fell to the Saints in the eighth inning, 3-2. USF's Bozeman doubled home Behrens with one out in the bottom of the eighth to end the game. Judson is now 23-23 on the season and will host Carthage College at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5th, for Senior Day.

The 1-2 record in the CCAC Tournament is the best appearance for Judson since the 2003 season when they went 3-2. The win on Wednesday was also the first for Becky Bruns in the CCAC Tournament and tied the school record for wins in a season.

Bourbonnais, Ill. – Winning their second game of the day of the CCAC Tournament, Judson held off #5 Cardinal Stritch, 5-4, as the Eagles tied the record for wins in a season with 23. Judson fell in the first game, 6-2, to #3 St. Xavier. Judson will now face the winner of the #2 St. Francis vs. #4 Robert Morris game at 12:00 p.m.

The CCAC tournament win is also a first in the Becky Bruns era as Judson made the CCAC tournament in 2005 but lost their first two games.
