Elgin, Ill. – Signing to play women's basketball and run cross country, Kim Peek has decided to further her athletic career at Judson University. Peek will bring strong talents to both Jim Cook and Rich Weinhandl's teams as an All-State athlete and state champion.
Peek, from Springdale, Arkansas, is a six-time All-State selection for cross country and track and was a 2008 Wendy's High School Heisman State Finalist for Arkansas at Har-Ber High School. She has been twice selected for track and four times for cross country as an all-state athlete. She is a five-time state champion in track in the 1600 meters (twice), indoor 1600 meters, 800 meters, and the 4x800 meter relay.

Deerfield, Ill. – Cutting the lead to six, 38-32, Judson was in position to make a run to take the lead but Trinity International’s (15-16) defense took over not allowing another made shot from the floor for 10 minutes. In those 10 minutes, TIU out scored JU, 18-5, and held JU to just three made free throws. Judson ended their scoring drought from the floor with 2:33 left in the game as TIU went on for the 57-41 win.
Theresa Larson led Judson with 12 points followed by Kirstin Johns with 11. Alicia Rovertoni grabbed 13 rebounds. TIU’s Jonke Stewart-Butler led all scorers with 22 points.

Elgin, Ill. – In the second round of play for the CCAC Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament, Judson University will face Trinity International University on Wednesday, February 27th. Judson will travel to Deerfield, Ill., to face the Trojans at 7:00 p.m.
Judson has split with TIU this season in CCAC play. In the first meeting in Deerfield, JU led most of the first half and into the beginning of the second half. TIU went on a 21-5 run to begin the second half and never lost the lead en route to a 68-61 win.
