Coach Moment announces the signing of another top local athlete to the men's tennis team for Fall. Josh Gronowski comes to Judson with an extensive USTA history of playing competitive tennis resulting in a record of 23-19 over the last few years. Josh has been slowing improving his match play as well as capturing some championship in the USTA Heritage Tennis Club Tournaments. Josh will joining the tennis team in the Fall and is expected to be a key player in the singles and doubles lineup. We welcome him and his family to the Judson Family and look forward to the impact he will make on and off the court at Judson. 

Coach Moment announced that Daniel Hendel will join the men's tennis team this Fall. Daniel comes from top ranked, #11 Temple Community College to join the Judson Eagles this Fall. As per 4/2014 ITA Rankings, Daniel has reached the spot of #69 in singles play and #16 in doubles play among junior college players in the US. He recently went 1-1 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles play at the National Junior College Nationals in Plano, TX. His experiece will definitly add great depth to the men's team and he will surely be a leader on and off the court. Daniel is from East London, South Africa where he had an extensive tennis career representing his high school and numerous national and provincial tournaments. Daniel will be studying architecture at Judson and will be an integral part of the team. 

Judson Men Tennis closed out their regular season yesterday with a 9-0 sweep of the Rock Valley "Golden Eagles". The all-senior lineup of our graduating seniors took the win for Judson. The singles lineup consisted of Reilly Good, Kyle Price, Andrew Moment, Ian Harris, Mike Gaffney and Joel Aurand. Judson's first point of the match was won by the No.1 doubles spot of Good and Moment. Good and Moment have maintained that spot all year and have proven their ability to compete at a higher level. The second point of the match came from No. 2 doubles of Kyle Price and Ian Harris and the third point came in by our No. 3 doubles duo of Mike Gaffney and Joel Aurand. Judson swept through the singles lineup with all six points being received. This closed out the regular season for the men and they will now be preparing for the conference tournament that will begin on Tuesday. 

Coach Moment signs Elisha Hougland for Men's Tennis Men's Tennis - Wed, Apr. 9, 2014

Judson University signs Elisha Hougland to Men's Tennis for next year. Elisha comes with an extensive and successful tennis career playing for Hampshire High School. He has seen 2 years of IHSA state tennis finals action in singles and doubles and is currently seeking his third year at the state finals while entering his senior year of his high school tennis season. "We are excited to have such a high level local athlete join the men's tennis team and we are sure he will add a great deal of depth to the program. We are truly blessed to have him join us at Judson", says Coach Moment.  

Judson's Men's Tennis team won 9-0 against Mc Henry County College on Monday night. After sweeping the doubles, Judson entered singles play up 3 points for the match. The singles lineup maintained a great pace with the ball and used their experience in match play over a young Mc Henry County College team. Judson takes their 3 match winning streak into a whole weekend of matches in Iowa and Wisconsin. 

Judson's Men's tennis team won a close match on Thursday against Prairie State. Isriz Balase brought home the 1st point of the match with a decisive win at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1). Andrew Moment, No 4 singles and Jon Moment, No 6 singles also posted singles wins to give Judson a total of 3 points. After singles play was over, the match was tied up 3-3 going into the doubles play. Andrew Moment / Reilly Good won the next team point at No. 1 doubles to put Judson up 4-3. Tyler Kerley / Kyle Price at No. 3 doubles lost a close match to Prairie State, bringing the team score to an even 4-4. The match came down to the No. 2 doubles spot with Jon Moment / Isriz Balase winning a highly competitive and close match to the No. 2 doubles from Prairie State that consisted of their No.1 and No. 2 singles players. Judson improves their spring record to 2-1 entering a home match against Mc Henry County College on Monday that will be played at Center Court Athletic Club
