Coach Moment signs Elisha Hougland for Men's Tennis Men's Tennis - Wed, Apr. 9, 2014

Judson University signs Elisha Hougland to Men's Tennis for next year. Elisha comes with an extensive and successful tennis career playing for Hampshire High School. He has seen 2 years of IHSA state tennis finals action in singles and doubles and is currently seeking his third year at the state finals while entering his senior year of his high school tennis season. "We are excited to have such a high level local athlete join the men's tennis team and we are sure he will add a great deal of depth to the program. We are truly blessed to have him join us at Judson", says Coach Moment.

Judson's Men's Tennis team won 9-0 against Mc Henry County College on Monday night. After sweeping the doubles, Judson entered singles play up 3 points for the match. The singles lineup maintained a great pace with the ball and used their experience in match play over a young Mc Henry County College team. Judson takes their 3 match winning streak into a whole weekend of matches in Iowa and Wisconsin.

Judson's Men's tennis team won a close match on Thursday against Prairie State. Isriz Balase brought home the 1st point of the match with a decisive win at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1). Andrew Moment, No 4 singles and Jon Moment, No 6 singles also posted singles wins to give Judson a total of 3 points. After singles play was over, the match was tied up 3-3 going into the doubles play. Andrew Moment / Reilly Good won the next team point at No. 1 doubles to put Judson up 4-3. Tyler Kerley / Kyle Price at No. 3 doubles lost a close match to Prairie State, bringing the team score to an even 4-4. The match came down to the No. 2 doubles spot with Jon Moment / Isriz Balase winning a highly competitive and close match to the No. 2 doubles from Prairie State that consisted of their No.1 and No. 2 singles players. Judson improves their spring record to 2-1 entering a home match against Mc Henry County College on Monday that will be played at Center Court Athletic Club
