Joliet, Ill. – The 2008 season came to end in the NAIA Region VII Tournament as Judson University (18-25) fell to #1 St. Francis, 11-5. Judson played from behind the entire game as USF jumped out to a 6-0 lead. Judson finishes one of their finest seasons ever by claiming the CCAC Tournament Championship and advancing to the NAIA Regional Tournament for the first time.

Angel Cisneros led Judson with a 3-of-3 performance and two RBI. Kyle Kobernus took the loss from Judson.

Joliet, Ill. - Due to the rain that came through in the morning and mid-afternoon, the start time for the game between #1 St. Francis and #5 Judson University is now 4:30 p.m. at the Silver Cross Field.  Gametime was originally 10:00 a.m.
 
This will be the third meeting between the two teams this season as they split in their CCAC series as Judson gave USF their first CCAC loss of the year.
 
This is the first-time, ever, that Judson has participated in the NAIA Region VII Tournament and received a regional ranking.  Judson is currently 18-24 on the season.

#2 St. Ambrose 9, #5 Judson 3
 
Joliet, Ill. – Scoring eight runs in the final three innings, #2 St. Ambrose (32-10) came from behind to defeat Judson University (18-24), 9-3, in a nine-inning game. Judson scored three runs in the first inning and held the lead through five innings. Judson will now play in the loser's bracket vs. #1 St. Francis at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7th, at Silver Cross Field.  This is Judson's first-ever NAIA Regional Tournament and first-ever regional ranking at #5. 
 

Brett Ehrlich led Judson with a 4-of-5 performance at the plate and had one RBI and Oscar DePablos was 3-of-4 with one RBI. Alci Gonzales took the loss as he went six innings and struck out five with six earned runs allowed. Juan P. DeArmas finished the final two innings and had one strikeout. SAU's Cutler went the distance and recorded eight strikeouts.
