Elgin, Ill. – Signing to play women's basketball and run cross country, Kim Peek has decided to further her athletic career at Judson University. Peek will bring strong talents to both Jim Cook and Rich Weinhandl's teams as an All-State athlete and state champion.
Peek, from Springdale, Arkansas, is a six-time All-State selection for cross country and track and was a 2008 Wendy's High School Heisman State Finalist for Arkansas at Har-Ber High School. She has been twice selected for track and four times for cross country as an all-state athlete. She is a five-time state champion in track in the 1600 meters (twice), indoor 1600 meters, 800 meters, and the 4x800 meter relay.

Elgin, Ill.- Looking to build a championship program for the Judson women’s cross country team, Rich Weinhandl has signed his first recruit for the 2008 season. Rachel Dean has become the first female to sign with the Eagles.
“I can’t think of a better first signee for this historic moment of Judson’s first female cross country team. Rachel not only brings an enormous amount of talent but also she brings a leadership that will be heavily counted on,” says Weinhandl.

Elgin, Ill. – Exciting events continue for Judson University as the university has announced that they are bringing back men’s and women’s cross country for the 2008 season and have hired a coach to continue the rich tradition it once had. Marengo’s Rich Weinhandl has been hired to form both teams for next season.
“Rich brings a wealth of experience to Judson after coaching for so many years at the high school level,” says Judson University Director of Athletics Nancy Smith. “I feel very confident that we have the right person to get our cross country program up and going again. He has a lot of passion and energy and will do a great job.”
