Olivet Nazarene University

Played two years for Olivet Nazarene University under the coaching of Todd Reid and Elliot Johnson…in 2007 team won CCAC conference tournament and advanced to Regional tournament…in 2007, made 10 appearances with five starts and finished with a 4-3 record…recorded a 3.38 ERA in 40 innings pitched with 17 strikeouts.

Graduated from North Central High School in 2006…three time letter winner for coach Phil McIntyre…finished regular season of senior year with a record of 10-2…as a pitcher led state of Indiana in wins…earned All-Conference, All-County and All-Area honors in 2006…In 2006 team was Marion County Champions and Sectional champions…finished overall season at 20-9 making it to the Sweet 16…also participated in Business Professionals of America…earned Academic All-Conference junior and senior years.

Played on the FCA Grays for coach Joe Reed.

Born August 29, 1987…Son of Howard and Beth Groves…younger brother Hunter Groves also plays baseball for Judson…Sociology Major with a Business Management …enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with friends…favorite food is Italian…cheers for the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Butler University Bulldogs…favorite sports experience is pitching a shutout to win county championship at Victory Field…favorite vacation place is Vincennes, Indiana… has met former Kansas City Royal's Baseball player Harmon Killebrew.
