Impressive 2nd Year
Diego Cevallos was in his second year with the women's soccer program and doubled his win total. In 2008, his team won seven games and then this year they jumped to 14 wins. The 14 wins were just one win shy of tying the program record for wins. Judson also had their best showing in the NCCAA National Tournament with a third place finish. Cevalllos is now 21-18-4 in two seasons as the head coach.

Hard Opponents

Once again, Judson University played one of the harder schedules in the NAIA. On their schedule, they played nine teams that at one point in the season were either ranked or receiving votes. At the time of play, Judson faced three top 25 teams in #18 Olivet Nazarene, #6 Graceland, and #20 Ohio Dominican. Judson fell to Olivet Nazarene, twice, 3-1 and 4-1. Judson did tie Graceland, 1-1, and defeated Ohio Dominican, 1-0. Teams that were receiving votes at the time of play were Trinity Christian, Robert Morris, Grace College, The Masters, Notre Dame (OH), and Davenport. Judson tied Trinity Christian and fell to Robert Morris in CCAC play. Judson, though, did come away with wins over Grace, Notre Dame, and Davenport, with a loss to The Masters.

In the final NAIA National Poll, Graceland finsihed #9, Trinity Christian #17, Olivet Nazarene #18, and Ohio Dominican #24.

After a week of no votes, they then were in the receiving votes category for the next five weeks from September 22nd to October 20th. Judson received as many as eight votes (October 13th). This is the most that any women's soccer team has been mentioned in the national poll.

Post Season Wins

Judson had an impressive post season in 2009 that broke some records. One of the biggest wins came on November 18th when Judson broke a 10-match post season losing streak to Trinity International, 3-2, in double overtime.
