NAIA Wins Record
Judson University continues to lead the NAIA in all-time wins as they added 19 in the 2009 season. Judson now has 585 program wins and is 13 games ahead of Westmont College. Coming into the 2008 season, Westmont had 552 wins while Judson had 551 and Judson surpassed them after last season. Judson also has the all-time wins record for coaching as Steve Burke has 465 all-time wins. He broke the NAIA record for wins in the 2008 season.

CCAC Regular Season Champs

Winning its fifth regular season title in six years, Judson has now won 20 conference championships under Steve Burke. This was his seventh CCAC regular season title at Judson. Judson has won six CCAC tournament championships along with seven NIIC championships.

Judson claimed the 2009 regular season championship with an 8-2 record. They finished with 24 points and were two points ahead of St. Xavier.

NCCAA National Champs (x6)

For the sixth time in the history of the men's soccer program at Judson, they claimed a NCCAA National Championship. Judson went 2-0-1 in the national tournament and held off Indiana Wesleyan, 4-3, for the national championship. Judson started off the tournament with a 1-1 tie to Palm Beach Atlantic but advanced with a 5-3 shootout win. They then defeated Mid-America Christian, 2-0, and moved onto the championship game for the 4-3 win over Indiana Wesleyan.

Judson has now won NCCAA National Championships in 2009, 2002, 1997, 1995, 1992, 1991. Judson is now 29-9 in the NCCAA National Tournament and has won eight-straight matches that date through the 2002 and 1999 seasons. Judson has played in 13 NCCAA National Tournaments in Steve Burke's 26 years.

Scholar-Athlete/Academics

Two players earned academic awards for the 2009 season in Sven Moeller and Gustavo Oliveira. Moeller was a NAIA and NCCAA scholar-athlete along with being on the CCAC All-Academic team. Oliveira earned a spot on the CCAC All-Academic team.

NAIA All-American

For the third year in a row, Gustavo Oliveira was named a NAIA All-American. He is now only the second men's soccer player to earn three NAIA All-American awards. He joins Kelly Findley as the only three-time NAIA All-American. It was also the sixth year in a row that Judson has had somebody named to the NAIA All-American list.

He led the team with 16 assists and 36 points and was second on the team with 10 goals. He played in 21 matches starting 14 and had a season-high two goals against Taylor University and Robert Morris.

NCCAA All-American

Picking up his first All-American award, goalie Alex Tyton was a NCCAA All-American first-team selection. In the 23 matches played, he came away with nine shutouts and had 98 saves with a 0.89 goals against average. Judson won 13 of their last 15 matches with six of the matches being shutouts. He now has 15 career shutouts at Judson in two years.

NCCAA All-Tournament

By winning the NCCAA National Championship, Judson brought home several individual awards. Judson had three players on the All-Tournament team and two named the most valuable player. Gustavo Oliveira, Alex Tyton, and Rafa Heck were all named to the All-Tournament team. Oliveira was then named the Tournament MVP and Tyton was the Tournament Defensive MVP.

NCCAA All-Region

Three players earned NCCAA All-Region honors for their play in Alex Tyton, Sven Moeller, and Rafa Heck. It is the second time that Tyton has received the award as Moeller and Heck are on the team for the first time. Heck played and started in 19 matches and had nine goals and six assists. Moeller led the team with 11 goals and finished with 10 assists while being second on the team in points (32).

 
NCCAA National Player of the Week

Two players earned the NCCAA National Player of the Week in Alex Tyton and Sven Moeller. Tyton won the award first on September 1st and then Moeller took the award on October 19th.

Tyton had a combined nine saves in two matches with six against Northwestern College and three vs. Spring Arbor. Judson defeated Northwestern, 1-0, on Friday, and the Spring Arbor, 3-0, on Saturday in the Judson Invitational. Moeller earned the award by kicking in the security goal in a key CCAC win over Cardinal Stritch, 3-1. In a 3-0 win over Holy Cross, he provided two of the three goals scoring both of them in the first 10 minutes of the match.

CCAC Awards
With their fifth CCAC championship in six years, Judson cleaned up on the CCAC awards. They had six players earn All-CCAC and Steve Burke was named the CCAC Coach of the Year. Earning All-CCAC were Gustavo Oliveria, Alex Tyton, Sven Moeller, and William Zardetto. Given All-CCAC honorable mention status were Rafa Heck and Tony Skarvatun. It was the first time for Zardetto, Skarvatun, and Heck to be on an All-CCAC team.

CCAC Players of the week

Judson had four CCAC Players of the Week as they all earned the award once. Sven Moeller, Gustavo Oliveira, Alex Tyton, and Rafa Heck were all named players of the week.
 
National Rankings
Judson was recognized in both the NAIA and NCCAA National Polls. Judson finished receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll with 50. In the NCCAA National Poll, they were voted the #2 team in the nation in the final poll.
 
OliveIra Finishes in Judson Top 10

Gustavo Oliveira finished his career with 50 assists which put him at 5th all-time at Judson. He had 16 assists in his final year at Judson and provided 21 in his first year and 13 last year. He finished three assists in front of Kelly Findley. Oliveira is also in the single season top 10 for assists as he had 21 in the 2008 season. He finishes his career with 29 goals and 108 points.

In the CCAC
In the team statistical categories, Judson led all of the offensive categories. They were first in shots (376), points (171), goals (61), goals per game (2.77), assists (49), and assists per game (2.23).
 

Individually, Judson had five players finish in the top five of several different categories. Gustavo Oliveria was first in assists (16), second in shots (73) and points (36), and fourth in goals (10). Sven Moeller was third in goals (11) and goals per game (0.50), fourth in shots (71), and fifth in assists (7). Rafa Heck finished fifth in goals (9) and sixth in assists (6) while Martin Khoshaba was second in assists (8). Alex Tyton was second in shutouts (9) and third in goals against average (0.89), save % (.831), and saves (98).

In the NAIA
Judson, as a team, finished in four categories in the top 20 for the NAIA. They were 11th in assists (49), 12th in goals (61), 18th in assists per game (2.23), and 19th in goals per game (2.77).

Individually, Gustavo Oliveira was in three categories being top five in two of them. He was third in assists (16), fifth in assists per game (0.76), and 22nd in points (36).
