More Season Records Fall in 3rd Season Under Benjamin
Improving upon the 30 wins from the 2009 season, the Judson University baseball team claimed 39 wins in the 2010 season to surpass the broken record from the year before. It is the first time in the history of the program to have back-to-back 30-win seasons and to also play baseball in February.
 

Judson broke the February status for playing baseball as they opened up the season on February 15th against Clarke College at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Judson had a four-game series and went 1-3. Judson then went on to play four more games in February to make a total of eight.

On their annual spring trip to the south, Judson played eight games in Tennessee and went 6-2. In those six wins, one came against #11 Tennessee Wesleyan, 14-10.

It was not until May 5th that Judson broke the 2009 record for wins when they posted a 14-4 win over Purdue-North Central. They finished the three-game sweep the following day for their 32nd and 33rd wins of the year. Judson finished the year with 20 CCAC wins to tie the program record set in 2009.

NAIA National Poll
For the first time in the history of the program, Judson University received votes in the NAIA National Poll. Judson received votes in three different polls on March 30th (1), April 6th (12), and April 20th (4). The most votes received were on April 6th with 12.
 
NCCAA World Series
NCCAA Regional Champions
For the third time in the history of the program, Judson University advanced to the NCCAA World Series by winning the NCCAA North Central Regional Championship. Judson received a #4 seed in the NCCAA World Series and won the regional with a series win over Olivet Nazarene. In a three-game series for the championship, Judson won games one and three for the automatic bid. Judson took game one, 3-2, and then won game three, 6-2, in Bourbonnais, IL. At the NCCAA World Series, Judson fell to Spring Arbor, 5-2, and Kings College, 11-1.
 
Single Season Team Records
It was another great offensive season for Judson University as they broke 10 offensive records and one pitching record. Seven of the 10 records broken were from the 2009 season. The records broken were wins (39), batting average (.331), hits (613), at bats (1,852), runs (426), RBI (382), doubles (127), triples (35), home runs (34), and walks (230). They also broke the single season record for innings pitched at 438.
 
Six Individual Season Records (tied or brokent)

Four players for Judson either tied or broke individual season records in 2010. Johnny Amann and Nick Krisman each are in two categories. Amann broke Brett Ehrlich's record of 178 at bats in 2009 with 185 and then tied the record for triples at seven set by Matt McHenry in 2009. Krisman tied the record for most wins in a season (8) with Jon Hanchett from the 1973 season and then broke Hanchett's record for fewest walks allowed in a season to innings pitched (14/86 IP). Andrew Parsill tied the RBI record of 49 set by Ryan Koerner in 2002. Zach Liebmann claimed the winning percentage record with a 6-1 record (.857)

Career Records Broken

Three players saw their careers end at Judson in 2010 atop the records book. Zach Williams finished with 11 career triples to tie Jesus Castro's record. Heath Groves broke the career record for winning percentage at .700 (7-3). Ed Draper finished off with 12 career saves for the most in program history.

New Players Impact

The 2010 season marked a season of new players in Rich Benjamin's third year as coach. Benjamin brought in 20 new players. The impact of the players set the tone for the upcoming 2011 season. These players broke into several Judson top 10 categories for single season records. Eight players are now in the top 10 for single season records at Judson. Johnny Amann leads the way as he is in seven categories and holds two season records for triples and at bats. Nate Rohl follows in five categories with his highest in third in doubles. Brian Brauer and Andrew Parsill are both in four categories as Brauer's highest is second in RBI and Parsill tied the record for RBI. Levi Pippenger and Nick Krisman are each in three categories as Pippenger's highest is fourth in RBI and Krisman owns two records for wins and fewest walks allowed in innings pitched. Both Mitch Smith and Zach Liebmann are in two pitching categories. Smith is second in fewest walks allowed while Liebmann has the best winning percentage in a season.

CCAC Awards

Three players were honored with CCAC awards as two were on All-CCAC teams. Johnny Amann was voted the CCAC Freshman of the Year and is the second player in three years to receive that award under Rich Benjamin. Matt McHenry was then on the All-CCAC first-team and Nate Rohl was an All-CCAC honorable mention selection. Two players earned CCAC Player of the Week awards in Mitch Smith and Levi Pippenger.

NCCAA Awards

Picking up several awards in the NCCAA regional level, Judson had five players and a coach honored. Rich Benjamin was voted the co-Coach of the Year for the region. Gaining NCCAA All-Region first-team honors were Johnny Amann, Ed Draper, and Nick Krisman. Matt McHenry and Levi Pippenger were both on the NCCAA All-Region honorable mention team.

Academic Awards

Both Hunter Groves and Ed Draper led the team in academics. Both players were named NCCAA scholar-athletes and were on the CCAC All-Academic team.

CCAC Stats

Judson had eight players in the top 10 of several CCAC statistics. Ed Draper led the CCAC in appearances (25) and saves (10) while Zach Liebmann led the CCAC in shutouts (2). They were the only two players to lead the CCAC. Nate Rohl finished in four different categories as he was fourth in on-base percentage, fifth in doubles, eighth in slugging percentage, and ninth in total bases. Johnny Amann was third in triples, sixth in walks, and ninth in total bases. Nick Krisman finished sixth in wins, innings pitched, and games started. Andrew Parsill was ninth in RBI while Brian Brauer and Zach Williams were sixth in triples.

NAIA Stats

In the NAIA top 25, Judson had three players reach the top 20 for their play. Ed Draper was ranked the highest as he was sixth in the nation for saves (10). Mitch Smith was 17th for walks allowed per nine innings and 20th for walks allowed. Johnny Amann was 18th in triples with seven.
