New Coach, New Direction
The 2007 season brought a change in the Judson University volleyball program as Craig Vlietstra became the new head coach in August after Jennifer Alderson stepped down after four seasons. Vlietstra came to Judson after coaching two seasons at the NCAA Division II level.

Vlietstra was on the staff of Grand Valley State University (Mich.) in 2005 when they won the NCAA Division II National Championship. In the 2006 season, he was the assistant coach at Michigan Tech and helped guide them to a NCAA Division II Tournament berth. He has also made coaching stops at Glen Oaks Community College and Michigan State University and was also the head coach at Siena Heights for six seasons.

The 2007 Season
The 2007 season started off with a 4-2 record as Judson gave new head coach Craig Vlietstra his first win in his first match of the season over Ashford University. Judson then went 2-2 in their own tournament and defeated Calumet College to start off CCAC play 1-0. From that point, the season was up and down due to injuries.

There were series of combined wins and losses as Judson finished the season at 13-23. Judson finished with a 3-6 record in the CCAC for seventh place. They also were the NCCAA North Central regional runners-up.
