A WELL WORTH 4 HOUR TRIP!!

Finally, great weather and great competition!  Running against many NCAA Division I athletes, Judson University was ready for the stiffer competition!  The team was without several of it's athletes who remained home to study and get assignments in on time.  Those who competed reached new heights in their athletic careers!

On the Men's team, Andy Anderson had a career best performance in the 1500m run (4:43).  He also competed in the 800m run (2:20).  Kyle Julian had his career best performance in the 1500m (4:39).  He followed that up with a solid race in the 800m (2:11).

Judson women had fantastic performances as well.  Kim Peek was 1 sec. off her career best performance in the 800m (2:24.16).  Her winning time in the second heat was good enough to earn her 6th place overall.  It was so cool to hear her name and Judson University by the public address announcer as she lead from start to finish, holding off a fast charging competitor down the stretch.

Rachael Dean continued to demonstrate her outstanding athletic talents by winning her heat in a career best 4:55 in the 1500m run.  She put on a blazing kick in the final 300 meters to win her heat and nail down 11th overall.

Another Judson University athlete that saw a career best day was Stine Pflaum.  New to the sport of Track and Field, Stine has steadily improved each  time out.  She raced to a personal best 5:52.42 time in the 1500m.
