Indoor Soccer Rules

Teams will have six players on the court with AT LEAST one player being a female.

Two (2) 18-minute halves and a three minute halftime. Teams will switch bench areas at half.

Dark shirts need to be DARK and light shirts need to be LIGHT. No gray shirts allowed for either team …but it will be up to the discretion of the referee.

Bleachers are in play but anything metal on the track area or above are out-of-bounds. Free kick from the spot of contact and a change of possession.

If the ball hits a banner, divider curtain or flag it will remain in play.

No slide tackling …this includes the goalie. No player is allowed to leave their feet near an opponent's legs. Goalie can dive for ball as long as no one is in the vicinity. (Change from previous season)

Contact with an opponent while they are along the walls and bleachers is prohibited. Use of the arms along the wall to push off is prohibited as well, by either player.

If the ball goes into the team bench area, it becomes a free kick and change of possession.

If overtime is needed, penalty kicks will determine the winner. The teams will choose three players to kick. Penalty kick starts from half court. The kicker has 10 seconds to dribble in and score on the goalie who starts on the goal line. If the ball comes into the possession of the goalie, hits a wall or is deflected back past "midfield" it becomes dead. Teams will alternate players through all six penalty kickers. If the score is still tied after the initial six kickers, then each team will continue with individual kickers until a winner is determined.

There cannot be more than 2 varsity players for that sport on the floor.  If so, the team will recieve a forfeit.
