HALL OF FAME 2004The men’s basketball program’s ninth all-time leading scorer, Freddie Morris, attended Judson from 1981-84. Although he just played three seasons for the Eagles, including one that was cut short, Morris scored 1,386 points, averaging 22.0 points per game for his career. Morris was a part of the 1983-84 squad that won 24 games and advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament where the team finished third. He scored 707 points that season, averaging 24.4 points per game. That is the third highest total of points scored in a single-season for the program. He recorded his best shooting year that year as he made 67.7 percent of his shots, the program’s best single-season mark. Morris was named an NCCAA First Team All-American as both a junior and a senior, one of only two players to earn the honor twice. He was also a NCCAA and NAIA All-District selection both years, as well as a NIIC All-Conference team member. He was named team Most Valuable Player as a senior.
