Coming back to his alma mater to re-start the sport that he loves, Judson University alumnus Art Steuber will rejuvenate the men's and women's tennis program. He is the most notarized player, ever, for the Judson men's tennis program and received many awards for his play. He is also the first men's tennis player to be inducted into the Judson University Athletic Hall of Fame.
"Being able to hire Art Steuber to bring back our tennis program is storybook," comments Director of Athletics Nancy Binger. "Having the best tennis player in Judson's history back to start our program up again is ideal. I know that Art will be passionate to create a respectable and successful program."
Steuber, who was inducted into the Judson University Athletics Hall of Fame in January 2009, was Judson's Male Athlete of the Year in 1991-92. He was twice named the NIIC Player of the Year and All-NIIC while being a four-year letter winner and most valuable player for the Eagles. In his senior year, he was the NCCAA District Player of the Year along with being named to the NCCAA and NAIA All-District teams and received his second NIIC Player of the Year award.
Art and his wife Kim reside in Pingree Grove, Illinois, with their three children: Kohlman (9), Benjamin (7) and Caedmon (2). Art is the owner of All-Star Appraisals and spends most of his free time coaching or leading children in Awana, Cub Scouts and youth baseball and football teams.
