Cook will continue his dual-coaching role at Judson this year as he is also the head men’s basketball coach, too, but will return as the women's coach in the 2008-09 season. He begins his fourth year as the head men's basketball coach. Last season he led both teams to 20-win seasons, marking the first time in the school’s history that the two programs have done that in the same year. Following the women’s conference championship game in 2006, he changed gears to guide the men’s team against the Cardinal Stritch men’s team in the tournament championship. This also was historic as the two programs have never played for the conference championship in the same year. The men were unsuccessful in capturing the title, but the improvements that have been made in the men’s program have been exceptional.
Cook is no stranger to the Judson women’s basketball program as he was an assistant for three seasons under Gum. Cook was actually instrumental in recruiting some of the players on this year’s squad. He was a part of the staff when the team finished in the Sweet 16 at the NAIA National Tournament.
Cook has done the majority of his coaching as the founder, director and coach of Team USA, an AAU organization. He has coached athletes as they compete in the highest level of competition during the summer months and then assists them in earning college scholarships. Along with coaching his AAU teams, Cook was a Dean’s Assistant in School District U46 for 12 years. Most recently he worked at Bartlett High School. During his tenure in U46, he had various coaching experiences including Head Boy’s Basketball Coach at Canton Middle School and Assistant Varsity Girl’s Basketball Coach at Larkin High School.
Cook graduated from Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Ill. He completed his collegiate athletic eligibility with an outstanding basketball career at both Shasta Community College in California and Carroll College in Montana. He eventually received his bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences at National Louis University in 2002 and finished up his Masters of Sports Management from Nova Southeastern University. Cook resides in Huntley with his wife Vicki.

Assistant coach Tom Kendall begins his 13th season as a Lady Eagle assistant coach. He has been a part of all six NAIA National Tournament teams, joining the team in 1995-96. He has brought a vast amount of strategies and basketball knowledge to help the program be so successful. His focus is on helping the team with its offensive strategies.
Kendall is no stranger to excellence when it comes to women’s basketball programs. Soon after graduating from Southern Illinois University in 1975, he began his coaching career in 1980 at Pittsville High School. Before coming to Judson, Kendall coached at Hoffman Estates High School from 1986-94. In 1991, his team finished fourth at the state tournament.
Kendall and his wife Kathi reside in Wauconda, Illinois with their two sons, Michael and Matthew. He has been an English teacher at Hoffman Estates High School for 21 years.
