Looking to take the Judson University women's golf program to the next level, Bruce Horgan has been hired to replace Chris Watson as the head coach.  Horgan brings a strong golfing background to Judson that will help equip them for the future.

"Bruce is a great fit for our women's golf program," says interim director of athletics Tony Tompkins.  "He has a great background with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in golf and many years of teaching golf to people.  He also has strong leadership qualities that he will help to continue to build up the women's golf program."

Horgan has worked the past 11 years at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Camp.  He helps run a golf camp for FCA teaching individuals and group clinics on fundamental golf skills and techniques.  He also helps to run the camp wide tournaments and encourages both the spiritual growth and the golf game.

Since 1997, he has been a part of the Golf Clubmakers Association and has reached the highest honor certification of Advanced Clubmaker.  He is certified in all areas of golf club building, adjustment, and repair. 

He also is an employee of Willow Creek Community Church as the Building Trades Manager.  While at Willow Creek, he has been a short term mission's leader for trips to the Dominican Republic and South Africa. 

Horgan will start immediately and replaces Chris Watson who left to pursue his career in the business field.
