ELGIN, Ill. - Repeating as NAIA Scholar-Athletes for women's soccer, both Baerbel Hartner and Janee Romesburg were named to the team for Judson University. Both were on the 2008 NAIA Scholar-Athlete team.

Hartner and Romesburg both helped Judson to a third place finish at the NCCAA National Tournament. She has also earned NCCAA and CCAC academic awards. Hartner played in 13 games while Romesburg played in nine games.

Judson finished the year at 14-7-3 and had their best-ever finish in the NCCAA National Tournament. The 14 wins were also second best for the program and just one short of the school record for wins.

To earn the award the athlete has to be nominated by the head coach and the student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. They must also be a junior academically.
 
To be a NCCAA scholar-athlete, you must have a 3.3 grade point average or higher and be a student-athlete.
