ELGIN, Ill. - An 18-1 run over five minutes in the second half sealed the win for Judson Unviersity (3-5) over Moody Bible Institute (2-5), 72-54. The game was tied at 39 when Judson went on the run to take a 15-point lead, 57-40, with 11:33 left in the game. Judson's lead never went under 10 points from that point on.

Lindsey Jordan led four Judson players in double figures with a career-high 16 points. Crystal Goodall also had 16 points in her first action of the year while Kirstin Johns had 14 and Ima Petion 13 points. ShaRhonda Huff grabbed nine rebounds for Judson.

Judson took off early in the first half with a 10-point lead, 12-2, and kept it at 10 for eight minutes of the half. With 12:27 remaining, Judson was up 17-7, only to see Moody Bible chip away at their lead and tie the game at half, at 34.

Moody Bible came out strong in the second half taking a four-point lead, 39-35, in the first two minutes. Judson tied the game at 39 with 16:19 left and went on an 18-1 run over the next five minutes for a commanding 17-point lead, 57-40. After that run, Judson took control of the game and pushed their lead to 20, 72-52, with 2:59 left in the game.

Judson finished shooting 43% from the floor, 29% from three-point range, and 69% from the stripe. Moody Bible shot 39% from the floor, 33% from beyond the arc, and 64% from the free throw line. Judson forced 32 turnovers and had 20 steals. Moody did out rebound Judson, 37-36.

Judson is now off for a week as they will face Wheaton College on Saturday, December 12th, at 2:00 p.m. in Wheaton, Ill.
