KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Master's College offensive power in the first half was too much for Judson University (13-7-3) to overcome as the fell, 4-1, in the NCCAA National Tournament semi-final match. Judson will now play in the 3rd/4th place match on Saturday, December 5th, at 11:30 a.m. central time.
 
The Master's College was up 2-0 before Judson found the net. The Master's scored in the 3rd and 20th minute before Judson's Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL) cut the lead to one on assists from Ashley Williams (Lake in the Hills, IL) and Kamila Marchi (Brazil). The Master's then added two more goals in the 32nd and 40th minutes for a three-goal lead, 4-1.
 
 

Judson battled in the second half with three shots on goal but could not get the ball past The Master's goalie. Judson finished with 10 overall shots with six on goal.

Mackenzie Fowler had four saves with one team save in the loss.

Regardless of the outcome on Saturday, Judson will have their best-ever finish at the NCCAA National Tournament. The highest they have finished before has been 5thi n 1997.

NOTES: Judson is now 3-7-1 all-time in the NCCAA National Tournament…Judson now is 0-2 vs. The Masters with both losses in the NCCAA National Tournament…The Master's defeated Judson, 2-1, in first round game in 2006…JU has a chance to play Olivet Nazarene University for 3rd time this season if they lose to Covenant…Only 2nd time this season Judson has given up 4 goals (vs. Olivet Nazarene in NCCAA Regional Championship)…JU is now 2-2 in the post season this year…the goal by Christina Thornton is her 79th career goal at Judson…She has now had 20 or more goals in three of her four years at JU.
