ELGIN, Ill. - Seeing the fruits of their labor and being rewarded for their hard work, Judson University has been awarded an at-large bid to the 2009 NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) Women's Soccer National Tournament. This will be Judson's fourth appearance at the tournament and the third time that both the men's and women's soccer teams will be together at the national tournament (1997, 1999)..

Judson received a #3 seed out of eight teams for the tournament. Judson is currently 12-6-3 and is coming off a 4-1 loss in the NCCAA Midwest Regional Championship match to Olivet Nazarene. Olivet Nazarene was given the #1 seed and is the reigning national champions.  They will play #6 Grace College at 1:30 central time on Wednesday, December 2nd, in Kissimmee.  Grace College is currently 14-4-2.

This is the fourth time Judson has made the tournament as they participated in 1997, 1999, and 2006. Their best finish came in 1997 in fifth place. They were eighth in 1999 and ninth in 2006. Judson holds a 2-6-1 record in the NCCAA National Tournament. This will also be Deigo Cevallos' first time at the NCCAA National Tournament as a coach.

Judson's two wins came in the 1997 season as they defeated Simpson College, 4-0, and then Bartelsville, 2-1. The one tie came in 2006 against Asbury, 2-2.
