ELGIN, Ill. - Gaining their first win of the year in a large way, Judson University (1-4) had a 21-point win over Holy Cross, 66-45. Judson was only up by four at the half, 29-25.

Alicia Rovertoni gained her 23rd double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Judson. Both ShaRhonda Huff and Kirstin Johns had 11 points each.
 
In the first game of the night, Indiana-Northwest held off Goshen College, 60-55.  Goshen will face Holy Cross at 2:00 p.m. and Indiana-Northwest plays Judson at 4:00 p.m.
 

Holy Cross came out strong in the first five minutes of the game taking a five-point lead, 8-3. In the next five minutes, Judson had an 13-2 run to take a six-point lead, 16-10. Judson never lost their lead after that. Holy Cross cut the lead to two, 24-22, with four minutes left in the half but Lindsey Jordan hit a three-pointer with 1:24 left to push the lead back to seven, 29-22. Holy Cross then hit a three-pointer just before the half to trim the lead to four, 29-25.

Judson started the second half on a 14-2 run for a 16-point lead, 43-27. Two free throws by Huff at the 14:57 mark gave Judson a 17-point lead, 45-28. The lead never went under double digits after that. Huff gave Judson their first 20-point lead, 54-33, on al layup with 8:44 left in the game. Judson took their largest lead of 25, 60-35, with 6:54 left in the game on another Huff layup.

Judson finished shooting 43% from the floor, 38% from the arc, and 45% from the stripe. Holy Cross shot only 29% from the floor, 17% from the three-point line, and 50% from the free throw line. Judson out rebounded Holy Cross, 43-42, and forced 24 turnovers. Judson also had 12 steals.

Judson will play Indiana-Northwest at 4:00 p.m. for the Judson University Tournament Championship in the Lindner Fitness Center.
