
CLINTON, Iowa - Shooting only 22%, Judson University (0-4) fell to Ashford University, 57-37, in a non-conference game. Judson was only down eight, 27-19 at the half.
Alicia Rovertoni led Judson with 12 points and had six rebounds. In her first game at Judson, Daisy Jara led the team with 10 rebounds.
Judson finished shooting 33% from three-point land and 83% from the free throw line. Ashford shot 30% from the floor and 21% from beyond the arc and 60% from the stripe. They also out rebounded Judson, 46-40.
Ashford led the first 10 minutes of the game with as large as a nine-point lead. Judson tied the game at nine and then took a two-point lead, 11-9, with 9:47 left in the half. Ashford finished the half on an 18-8 run for the eight-point advantage at the half.
In the second half, Ashford took a double-digit lead just three minutes in and the score never dropped below 10 after that.
Judson will host their tournament this weekend as they take on Holy Cross on Friday, November 20th, at 8:00 p.m.
