ELGIN, Ill. - Improving in the CCAC by two games in the 2009 season, the Judson University volleyball team was rewarded with two All-CCAC awards. Senior Deb Leganski (Elgin, IL/Elgin Larkin HS) and freshman Carissa Oelke (Oregon, IL/Oregon HS) were honored.

Leganski was given her third All-CCAC award in four years as she was named to the All-CCAC first team. She led the CCAC in digs with 713 and an average of 5.99 per game. In the past four years, she was All-CCAC first team in 2007 and All-CCAC honorable mention in 2006. She has twice been named the CCAC Player of the Week. Her career has been a stellar one at Judson as she has re-written the record books for digs. She leaves as the all-time digs leader at Judson with 2,681 which is also good enough to finish in the career top 20 in the NAIA. She owns the #1, #2, #3, and #7 spots on the Judson single season top 10 list for digs and is third all-time in serving aces (181).

Oelke, earning her first seasonal award, was one of the top freshmen in the CCAC and was voted All-CCAC honorable mention. She finished fourth in kills with 397 and averaged 3.28 kills per game. She was also the CCAC Player of the Week for the week of October 26th. She had 13 double-doubles on the year and finished just outside of the Judson single season top 10 list for kills at 397.

Judson finished the year at 8-26 and was 4-6 in the CCAC. The eight wins are one better than the 2008 season and the four CCAC wins are two better.
