BARRINGTON, Ill. - Surging past Illinois Tech (9-11) in the second half with two goals, the Judson University (16-2) men's soccer team earned a sixth straight berth into the CCAC Championship match on Saturday. After a scoreless first half, Judson scored two goals as they collected their seventh shutout of the year.

Judson's Martin Khoshaba broke the 0-0 tie in the 52nd minute when Gustavo Oliveira found him in the middle of the field. Khoshaba then found a hole past the defender and looped the ball past Illinois Tech's Michael Tilatti for the one-goal lead. Only 14 minutes later, Oliveira added a security goal all by himself as he dribbled through two defenders from the left side to the middle and then rifled a shot from 20-yards out over Tilatti's head.

It was a dominating offensive performance from Judson as they took 18 shots with nine on goal. In the first half, Judson had four shots on goal and three others that just missed the goal. In the fifth minute, Jimmy Romano had a breakaway shot that just missed the net on the right side. Then, in the 11th minute, Sven Moeller had a header shot that Tilatti stopped.
Defensively, Judson was very solid in the back, shielding away most of the offensive attacks that IIT could make.

Alex Tyton recorded the first of his three saves for Judson in the 14th minute when Illinois Tech's Liam Barrett headed a shot. It was in the 18th minute where Judson looked to take the lead on a penalty shot but Tilatti caught Rafa Heck's shot to keep the match scoreless.

Jason Parmenter and Tom Kruse both took shots that were saved and Moeller had another opportunity in the 34th minute when his shot hit the crossbar.

Illinois Tech took just three shots in the second half but they were on goal. Tyton stopped two and then had a team save.
Moeller had a second shot hit the crossbar in the 46th minute as the Judson offense was attacking. Khoshaba then capitalized in the 52nd minute for the first goal.
Illinois Tech took shots in the 72nd, 87th, and 89th minutes but could not get them in the net. Tyton stopped the shots in the 72nd and 89th minute and had a team save in the 87th. Paul Owens had two shots on goal for Illinois Tech.

Tilattil finished with seven saves in the loss for Illinois Tech while Judson's Tyton had three saves. Judson out shot Illinois Tech, 18-6, and had two more fouls, 18-16.
