PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - Playing in another close CCAC volleyball match, Judson University fought hard, again, but fell in four games to Trinity Christian, 3-1 (24-26, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25). Judson finishes the regular season at 7-24 and 4-6 in the CCAC. The four wins in the CCAC are the best since a 5-4 finish in 2005.

Carissa Oelke had her 12th double-double of the season with 13 kills and 14 digs. Leading Judson in kills was Alesha Wyman with 16 as Danielle Dull added 10. Deb Leganski recorded 15 digs while Jaimie Pearson had 12 and Tracey Enzenbacher 10. Carly Campioni finished with 44 assists.

Judson hit .180 overall in the match and had seven serving aces. Their best game for hitting came in game three with a .432 hitting percentage.

Game one set the tone for the match as it went the distance with both teams battling it out. Trinity Christian took an early 4-0 lead and then kept it at four points, 7-3. Judson fought back and cut the lead to one, 10-9, on an Enzenbacher service ace. Trinity Christian once again pushed the lead back to four, 13-9, only to see Judson win the next four points to tie the game.

Judson took their first lead on a Dull kill, 16-15, and improved the lead to two points, 20-18. Judson then made it 22-19 but let Trinity Christian score four of the next five points to tie the game at 23. After a 24-24 tie, Trinity Christian's Sara Ooms had two straight kills for the 26-24, game one win.

Game two had the same flavor as game one as Trinity Christian won by two, 25-23. They took an 8-5 lead and then went up by six, 17-11. Judson never gave up and tied the match at 23 on a Karissa Groharing kill. Trinity Christian finished off the game with a kill from Ooms and Karly VanDyke.

Judson had their best play in game for with a hitting percentage of .432. Oelke gave Judson a two-point lead, 10-8, and then Judson took a four-point lead, 20-16. Trinity Christian cut the lead to one, 20-19, before Judson finished off the game scoring five the final six points.

It was a struggle in game four for Judson as Trinity Christian jumped out to a 5-1 lead. Judson did come back to tie it at seven on a Wyman kill and at 11 on a Trinity Christian attacking error. Oelke gave Judson their lone lead on a kill. Trinity Christian then scored the next six out of seven points for a 17-13 lead. They never lost the lead after that point and went on for the match win, 25-20.

Judson will now wait to see where they will be seeded in the CCAC Tournament as they will play on Friday.
