DEERFIELD, Ill. - For the 10th time in post season since 2000, Trinity International University (9-8-1)has defeated Judson (11-5-3), 1-0. Trinity International scored early and then played a strong defensive match for the shutout win and to advance in the CCAC Tournament.

Trinity International has now won the last 10 meetings in postseason against Judson. Judson has faced the Trojans six times now in the CCAC Tournament and four in the NCCAA regional and national tournament.

Scoring in the 20th minute, Trinity International's Diana Anderson found the net as she slipped one by Judson's Mackenzie Fowler. Judson's offense was silent in the first half as they only took three shots with one on goal. The two shots that were on goal came in the 41st minute. Krystle Arizmendi and Christina Thornton took two shots just eight seconds apart but were denied both times by Rebekah Niedermayer.

Judson had their chances in the second half to tie the game. The biggest threat came in the 76th minute when Lysney McFarland missed a penalty kick that would have tied the game. Judson took eight shots in the second half with four on goal.

Niedermayer stopped shots for Trinity International in the 50th, 61st, 81st, and 90th minutes. Judson's Kamila Marchi had one last shot to tie the game as the seconds were winding down but Niedermayer claimed the shot to secure the shutout win and advance to the CCAC Tournament semi-finals.

Judson out shot Trinity International, 11-10, but Trinity International had five corner kicks to Judson's three. Both goalies finished with seven saves.

Judson will now wait to see where they will be seeded in the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) regional tournament.
