ELGIN, Ill. - A dominating offense in the second half by Judson University (15-1/8-1), provided with a strong defensive front, led to a 2-0 shutout win over St. Xavier (11-4-1/5-2-1). The win gives Judson the regular season CCAC title which is their fifth in six years and they have now won nine matches in a row.

Judson's offense and defense were firing on all cylinders as they posted their sixth shutout of the year and scored two or more goals for the 13th time this year. Judson has now also won nine matches in a row.

Sven Moeller led the team as he scored the first goal of the match and assisted on the second goal. Alex Tyton provided six saves in the win for his sixth shutout of the year and 12th overall at Judson.

It was a scoreless first half for both teams but St. Xavier did have a chance to take a lead when they received a penalty kick in the 45th minute just before half. A St. Xavier player was fouled in the box to set up the kick. Matt Klancic stepped up and then sailed the shot just over the top right corner for the miss. Tyton was solid in goal, too, as he had five o his six saves in the first half.

Just over a minute into the second half, Moeller broke open the scoreless tie with a thrust of a kick that went to the left side of the net beating St. Xavier's Ian Pickett. Moeller was set up in the box by a pass from Martin Khoshoba. Moeller continued his attack in the 51st and 53rd minutes taking two more shots only to be stopped by Pickett.

Parmenter came away with the security goal in the 69th minute when Moeller passed the ball into the box from the right. Parmenter let the ball take one bounce and then shot it into the back of the net for the two-goal advantage.

St. Xavier was limited to just one shot in the second half that Tyton saved in the 61st minute.

Judson out shot St. Xavier, 15-9, and each team had three corner kicks. Pickett finished with eight saves for St. Xavier in the loss.

Judson will now host Calumet College on Saturday, October 31st, at 2:00 p.m. as they finish their regular season.
