Judson 6, St. Francis (IL) 0 - Box

ELGIN, Ill. - Working together as a team on both offense and defense, Judson University pulled off their seventh shutout of the year and scored six goals over the University of St. Francis. Judson is now 10-3-3 and 4-2-2 in the CCAC and the 10 wins are the fourth best in the history of the program.

Two players scored their first collegiate goals at Judson in Erin Gunville (Chatham, IL/Heartland CC) and Kristina Barreto (Huntley, IL/Huntley HS). Gunville sailed in two goals from 30 yards out on free kicks while Barreto zipped a shot through the defenders that found the net.

Christina Thornton (Algonquin, IL/Dundee-Crown HS) started game off in the seventh minute with her CCAC leading 14th goal for a 1-0 lead. Ten minutes later, Gunville scored her first of two goals on a free kick and then Barreto made it 3-0 in the 21st minute. Gunville finished off the first half scoring in the 34th minute on another free kick from over 30 yards out.

The second half brought a goal by Lynsey McFarland (Scotland) in the 59th minute and Jacqueline Rosato (Algonquin, IL/Jacobs HS) put a shot in the back of the net from 25-yards out to finalize the score, 6-0.
