Elgin, Ill. - By tying Illinois Tech, 2-2, on Saturday, October 20th, the Judson University men's soccer team won their fourth straight regular season CCAC Championship. JU finished one game ahead of four other CCAC teams.
With the win, JU receives a first-round bye in the CCAC Tournament and the NAIA Region VII Tournament. Going into the match with Illinois Tech, JU just needed to tie to preserve the championship and that is what they did. This is the sixth CCAC Championship in eight years. JU has won CCAC Championships in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Before the CCAC, JU was in the NIIC. In the NIIC, JU won eight conference championships and now have won a total of 14 confernece championships.
JU will now host the Olivet Nazarene University-Illinois Tech winner on Saturday, October 27th, at 1:00 p.m.
