Davenport 5, Judson 4

ELGIN, Ill. - After taking all three doubles matches, Judson University only won two singles matches as they fell to Davenport University, 5-4.  Judson is now 2-2 on the year.

Judson started out strong winning all three doubles matches.  Scottie Pattahana and Sonesackit Siripanya took Jeff Karasinski and Matt Weiden, 8-4, in the #1 doubles match.  In flight #2, Thepkaysone Siripanya and Jesse Perez teamed together for an 8-5 win over Nick Waechter and Vitaly Schumilov and then Brent Nelson and Adam Westhauser made it 3-0 with an 8-3 victory over Andrew Meads and Jerome Jayapal. 

Heading into singles play, Judson only needed two flight wins for the victory but fell short.  Lucas Prewitt was the lone victor for Judson at #6 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Jayapal.  Perez's #5 singles match with Waechter went the distance as Perez fell, 3-6, 6-2, 10-7.  Nelson also pushed for that fifth point but fell short, 6-2, 6-7, 8-6, to Weiden.

Judson has one more match this fall against Olivet Nazarene at a date to be determined.
