ELGIN, Ill. - An all around match played by Judson University led to a 4-0 shutout win over Davenport University (5-5-1). This was the sixth shutout this year for Judson.

Ashley Williams (Lake in the Hills, IL/Huntley HS) led Judson with two of the four goals scoring the first two goals of the match. Both goals came within three minutes of each other with the first in the 17^th minute and the second in the 20^th minute. The first goal was set up by Angie Gonzalez (Harvard, IL/St. Mary's Univ.) and Kamila Marchi (Brazil) to Williams who then chipped it over Davenport's Catherine Howard. 

Just three minutes later, Erin Gunville (Chatham, IL/Heartland CC) knocked in a pass to Marchi who then placed a beautiful header pass to Williams for the 2-0 lead.

Marchi, who had two assists, pushed Judson's lead to three in the 26^th minute. From 25-yards out, she sailed a shot over Davenport's Howard that went into the back of the net.

Thornton scored her 68^th career goal at Judson in the 86^th minute of the match on a penalty kick. After being roughed up all day, she was taken down just into the box to give her the penalty kick. She then took the kick and pushed it left by the goalie for the four-goal advantage.

Davenport took seven shots on the day but only two were on goal. Both saves came in the first half as Mackenzie Fowler (Crosby, TX/Crosby HS) stopped the first in the ninth minute and then had a team save to follow. Both saves came back-to-back as the second was a team save off of Fowler's deflection save.

Judson out shot Davenport, 17-7, holding the Panthers to just two second half shots. Fowler finished the match with one save for her sixth shutout of the year. Davenport's Howard had seven saves with one team save.
