Judson 2, Trinity International 1 - Box

Elgin, IL- Judson University (9-1/2-1) pulled out the close win in overtime against conference rivals Trinity Internationa, 2-1. Playing on a destroyed field due to the weather, Sven Moeller scored both goals unassisted in impressive fashion with one from 25 yards out across the goal. Scoring for Trinity in the 78th minute was Denton Smith.

Playing on a very sloppy field made shooting, passing and sometimes running a challenge for both Trinity International and Judson. Both teams committed over 10 fouls.  The Eagles took 20 shots with 11 being on goal. Leading Judson with six shots on goal was Gustavo Oliviera.

Going almost the whole first half scoreless Moeller put one in, in the bottom of the 44th minute, bouncing it in past the goalie. He would score again from 25 yards out in the 97th minute kicking from across the goal, followed by a team wide dog pile.

Trinity took only six shots in the game but connected with one. Denton Smith took a shot off the corner kick in the 78th minute to tie the match.

Judson will take to the field again next Saturday, October 10th,  against Robert Morris at home.
