Judson 3, Trinity Christian 1 - Box

ELGIN, Ill. - Sven Moeller (Germany) connected for two goals in the second half to propel Judson University (8-1/1-1) to a come-from-behind win over Trinity Christian College, 3-1. Trinity Christian had a 1-0 lead at the half.

Moeller quickly tied the game in the second half on a breakaway just under a minute in when he received a pass in the box from Martin Khoshaba (Elgin, IL/Elgin HS). Moeller then ripped the shot to the right side of the net to tie the game.

Gustavo Oliveira (Brazil) hit the game winning shot in the 84th minute of the match with incredible dribbling. He took the ball from 45 yards out, dribbled into the box around defenders, and then laid a shot just past the goalies hands for a 2-1 lead. Just four minutes later, Moeller sent a rocket shot from 25-yards out that hit the top of the cross bar and then landed in the goal for the two goal advantage.

Trinity Christian took their only lead in the match when Dave Tadla sent a shot in off of an Alex Tyton (Elgin, IL/Trinity International) deflection after a save in the 38th minute. Trinity Christian took four of their five shots in the first half and was only allowed one shot in the second half.

In goal, Judson's Tyton finished with two saves in the win while Trinity Christian's Andrew Boersma had 10 saves. Judson out shot Trinity Christian, 22-5, and had seven corner kicks.

Judson will now host Trinity International on Saturday, October 3rd, at 2:30 p.m. in CCAC play.
