
BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - In a very feisty match, Olivet Nazarene University (6-2/1-0) snagged a 1-0 win over Judson University (6-1/0-1) in the first CCAC match of the year. Olivet Nazarene netted their goal just five minutes into the second half.
Olivet Nazarene's Raphael Correa scored on a breakaway that just went off the Judson's Alex Tyton's hands in goal. Judson had several chances in the second half to tie the game but Olivet Nazarene goalie Matt Walker stopped four shots on goal in the 61st, 71st, 79th, and 88th minutes. Overall, Walker finished with six saves.
Judson out shot Olivet Nazarene, 18-13, but only had six shots on goal. Tyton stopped eight shots for Judson.
There were a combined 34 fouls called in the match with Olivet Nazarene coming away with two red cards and five yellow cards while Judson was also given five yellow cards.
Judson will next play on Saturday, September 26th, at 3:30 p.m. against Cincinnati Christian in the Homecoming match.
