NORMAL, Ill. - In the largest meet of the season so far, Judson University ran at the Illinois Intercollegiate Meet that featured all the Illinois programs that had cross country. Both the men's and women's teams finished 11th in the College Division race.

On the women's side, Judson had 276 points to finish 11th out of 25 teams and finished ahead of CCAC teams Trinity Christian and Robert Morris. Ana Garcia was the top runner for Judson in 71st place with a time of 19:41. Rachael Dean was 86th at 19:58, Kim Peek 108th (20:18), Sandra Hubbard 125th (20:32), and Morgan Kimball 134th (20:42). Also finishing were Kristal Pitts in 148th (20:56) and Abbie DuPont in 161 (21:10). Stephanie Belokon also crossed the finish line but her time was not recorded due to a malfunction in the chip. There were 307 runners in the race.

The men finished 11th out of 24 teams and Nate Nevius was the top runner for Judson in the 8K race with a time of 27:00 in 109th place. Following Nevius was Luke Kierys in 147th (27:40), Zach Adams in 151st (27;45), Robert Altenburger in 166th (28:05), and Dakota West in 169th (28:09) to round out the top five. Also crossing the finish line were Kyle Julian in 201st (28:51), Thomas Jarrett in 202nd (28:52), Tim Ciochon in 204th (28:52), Matt DeBall in 208th (28:59), and Scott McCracken in 248th (30:01). There were 334 runners in the race.
Judson will take a week off before racing in the Wisconsin Lutheran Meet on October 3rd.
