ELGIN, Ill. - For the second week in a row a Judson University cross country runner has been named the NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) Runner of the Week. Rachael Dean (Lindenhurst, IL/Lakes HS) was given the award for her time at the Northern Illinois University meet.

Last week, freshman Nate Nevius (Fremont, NE/Fremont HS) earned the award for his finish in his first-ever collegiate meet.

Dean, competing in a field with all NCAA Division I runners and one community college, finished fourth overall out of 105 runners in the 5K. She ran a 19:19 to finish ahead of several other NCAA Division I runners and was finished with the #1 runners from Northwestern, Western Illinois, and Wisconsin-Green Bay. She did finish in front of the #1 runner from Northern Illinois.

With her finish, Judson came in seventh place out of nine schools and was ahead of NCAA Division I Chicago State.

For her career, Dean has never finished below 10th in a regular season meet and now has finished in the top five five different times.

Judson is in their second year of the new program as they restarted the program in 2008.
