
JOLIET, Ill. - Improving their scores every time they take the golf course, Judson University finished 10th out of 18 schools at the University of St. Francis (IL) Fall Classic. Judson finished with a 309 tied with two other schools and was just six shots off from being in the top five.
Leading Judson was Eric Suits (Elgin, IL/Elgin CC) with a 75 (t28th) as he was the only golfer in the top 30 of the 106 golfers. Brian Sherwood (Oak Forest, IL/Oak Forest HS) and CJ Kool (Eureka, IL/Eureka HS) finished in 41st with a 77. Zach Gasior (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg HS) tied for 66th with an 80 and Zach Galloway (Bloomington, IL/Bloomington HS) was 103rd with an 89.
Competing against several conference teams, Judson was just six shots behind Olivet Nazarene (303) and 28 strokes from St. Francis. They finished ahead of both Calumet College (316) and Robert Morris (327). Judson also finished in front of NCAA Division III programs Wheaton College (313) and Beloit College (329) while tying North Central College (309). NCAA Division II Lewis University won the meet with a 281.
Judson will next golf in the two-day tournament at Robert Morris University on Friday and Saturday, September 18-19.
