LAKE FOREST, Ill. - In their second match of the season, Judson University traveled to NCAA Division III Dominican University and fell in three games, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21. Judson is now 0-2 on the year.

Carissa Oelke (Oregon, IL/Oregon HS) led Judson with nine kills while Carly Campioni (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake South HS) added 22 assists and Deb Leganski (Elgin, IL/Elgin Larkin HS) had 12 digs. Judson hit just .053 on the night and had only one block.

"We did not come to play tonight," says head coach Jill Pearce. "We played it safe tonight when we had the lead and were not aggressive enough. We will work harder in practices to become more aggressive in our games."

Judson had a 3-1 lead in game one when Dominican reeled off five straight points to take a 6-3 lead. From that point on, Judson never had the lead again. An attack error by Dominican put the score at 10 apiece. Dominican once again scored five points in a row for a 15-10 lead. Judson did not give up as they were within one three different times. The last time Judson was done by one was, 20-19, and had a chance to tie the game but a service error happened to give Dominican the two-point lead which led to a 25-22 loss.

Game two brought excitement for Judson early on as they lead, 11-9, on a Danielle Dull (Waupan, WI/Central Wisconsin Christian HS) kill. Dominican fired back with five straight points to retake the lead, 14-11. Judson never saw the lead again and was only within two, twice. Dominican finished with a 25-20 win.

Taking a 9-6 lead in game three, Judson let Dominican three straight points to tie the game at nine. Dominican took a 12-10 lead before Tracey Enzenbacher's (St. Charles, IL/Elgin CC) service ace tied the game at 13. Dominican made three straight points, again, to retake a 16-13 lead. Judson could get no closer than three from that point on as Dominican took the match, 25-21.

Judson will travel to Eau Claire, Wis., this weekend for four matches at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
