
ELGIN, Ill. - Four players from the Judson University softball team were named to the NCCAA North Central Regional Team in Nicole Dimiceli, Carrie Sensor, Virginia McAndrews, and Victoria Perez. Dimiceli is making her second appearance as she was all-Regional last year.
McAndrews finished the season with an 8-6 record in 26 appearances. Her 122 strikeouts also set a Judson single season record for strikeouts surpassing Jill Jeter's 121 set in the 2007 season. McAndrews also had three saves on the year in 109.1 innings pitched.
For the second year in a row, Dimiceli was named to the regional team. This year, she had 61 hits (61), 94 total bases, a .631 slugging percentage, and 44 runs scored with 45 RBI and six home runs. She finished the season with a .403 batting average and is currently second in career RBI with 92 and holds the single season record from 2008 in hits (71), RBI (47), and doubles (20).
Sensor had 54 runs scored and 65 hits. She broke the Judson single season record for at-bats (171) in which she set last season and runs scored. She finished the season batting .380 with 15 RBI.
Perez finished third on the team in batting at .310 and had 20 RBI and 12 doubles. She played in 50 games starting 49.
Judson finished the season with a new school record for wins at 26.
