
ELGIN, Ill. - Two more runners have signed with the Judson University cross country coach Rich Weinhandl for the 2009 season. Women's cross country runner Murphy Kurth (Batavia, IL) and men's cross country runner Kyle Julian (Marathon, WI) both will run for Judson next season.
Kurth participated in three sports in soccer, track, and cross country. She also is a member of Uprising, marching band, pep band, concert band, and orchestra. The honor roll student is the daughter of Scott and Sandy Kurth and will major in elementary education.
Julian, from Marathon, Wisconsin, will have two years to run for Judson as a transfer. In high school at Marathon, he won four letters while participating in cross country, track, basketball, and golf. His cross country teams qualified for state in his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, he went to the Wisconsin State Track Meet in the 4x800 relay. He was a member of the National Honor Society, march band, and the academic decathlon.
He is the son of Dean and Sharon Julian and will major in visual communications.
